Programme Management

Our Programme Management service seeks to ensure that the project is managed and progress is maintained in a manner that ensures the desired end result is achieved.  Whereas it is the project planning that sets the parameters for the construction period and the estimate that details the expenditure limits, it is the programme that fleshes them out and drives their success.

 

Programme management must provide the targets that will achieve the goals set by the estimate and the overall plan. It must be comprehensive and accommodate the needs of all elements of the project. Programme management means overcoming conflicts of disparate requirements and providing the environment for smooth interfaces through;

 

Performance monitoring as measured by accurate Key Performance Indicators (KPI) is essential. Detailed information garnered through regularly updated Cost Performance Indicators (CPI) and Schedule Performance Indicators (SPI) serves as a thermometer of the efficiency of the works being undertaken. Allowing any necessary changes to be instructed before progress is lost or additional costs incurred. Adopting techniques such as regular ‘end cost forecasting’ provides accurate estimates of the out-turn cost at any time during the progress of the works. By installing strict change control measures we can evaluate the impact of any proposed change in both time and cost terms before the change is implemented.

 

The need to maintain awareness of KPI requirements necessitates accurate and complete record keeping. Through our programme management support we ensure that Clients are aware of the health of the project at any given time.
