Throughout its history much of McMillan Associates’ work has been focused on interpreting, amending, writing or negotiating contracts. Clients are provided with the highest level of professional support built on many years of experience, gained on major International projects, augmented by regular involvement with the full range of smaller domestic contracts.
Our experience ranges from simple typed agreements for minor works to multi-volume, bespoke contracts written specifically for the largest undertakings, such as The Channel Tunnel Project, new airports in India and container ports in Europe and Southern Africa. In addition we have written totally new contracts for technically innovative structures such as Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah mono rail.

Working with; contractors, developers, city law firms and institutional funders we undertake examination of contractual terms, help formulate contracts in preparation for the tender process, provide detailed reasoning for renegotiation of specific terms and advise on the suitability of proposed subcontracting contracts and policy.
At a more local level we assist contractors and subcontractor gain full understanding of the implications of contract terms and advise clients on the implications of a particular contracting strategy. This breadth of knowledge and appreciation of the benefits of any given contract terms, which has been built up through more than 40 years of contracting experience, places McMillan Associates in an unrivalled position to provide each Client with pragmatic advice and support.
