Commercial Management

True Commercial Management must provide reassurance, insight, inspiration and comfort to everyone concerned with a project. It must be inquisitive, analytical, structured and responsive to the requirements of the wide range of bodies that constitute the Stakeholders. Strong commercial management ensures that the interests of all of those committed to the development of the project are maximised and the efforts of those involved in the construction and completion of the project are rewarded.

In its Commercial Management role McMillan Associates provides the overall management of a contract from inception to final account and if required, continuing with on-going monitoring during the operation phase.

However, not all Clients require our full service, many need specialist support, interim management or a fresh appraisal for only certain aspects of the project’s life. For these Clients we are able to tailor our service to meet their individual needs.

As a matter of course, we provide regular reports detailing progress and any developing concerns, together with any appropriate mitigation suggestions. We provide full support for Clients’ relationships with third parties by producing regular reports tailored to the demands of interested Parties. McMillan Associates is often the author of reports and appraisals in response to Clients’ dealings with external parties, covering such matters as ‘worst case scenarios’ for insurers and commentaries on ‘Good Industry Practice’ (GIP) for funders or legal advisors. When appropriate our Final Accounts incorporate detailed written and photographic reports, together with reasoned substantiation of all opinions and findings.

Each document is concise and in a format that clearly addresses the issues upon which clarification is sought.

Our holistic approach to commercial management incorporates, inter alia;
